What is the Leukemia and Lymphoma society?
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was created in 1949 by the de Villier family who lost a son to Leukemia. This organization was created nearly 70 years ago in order to eradicate various blood cancers and is the largest nonprofit health organization dedicated to blood cancer in the world today. Osbourn Park Leadership would like to work with you, the athletes, in order to raise as much money possible to help benefit this cause.

What is blood cancer?
Blood cancer causes rapid growth in the amount of various blood cells available and effect their ability to function. Blood cancers can effect everything range from making immune defense nearly impossible to not being able to stop bleeding. Unfortunately, every 3 minutes a person is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every 9 minutes a life is lost.
